Illinois state appellate court rules high school association not subject to FOIA

An Illinois appellate court has affirmed a circuit court ruling that the Illinois High School Association, which oversees public high school athletics, is exempt from Freedom of Information Act requests.

Wisconsin high school athletics association tells students to refrain from ‘air ball,’ ‘scoreboard’ chants

The association has asked students and coaches to refrain from chanting "unsportsmanlike" jeers during school games. A student athlete was suspended for five games for tweeting a criticism of the guidelines.
