Nev. college must keep president search open

NEVADA — The University and Community Colleges System of Nevadain November asked the state supreme court to overturn a lower court’s rulingforcing the system to conduct a public search for a new president for theCommunity College of Southern Nevada Michael Douglas, a judge for the Nevada Court of Appeals for the EighthDistrict, ruled against the system after the Las Vegas Review-Journalfiled a lawsuit arguing that the school’s search for a new president mustbe open because the presidency is a public office.
