Academic year donations are essential to the Student Press Law Center’s mission to provide free legal information and educational materials and programs to the student/adviser journalism community.

Proudly show your support for student journalists and the First Amendment by donating to the Student Press Law Center.

High school and college memberships are valid for one academic year and are $125.
Organizational memberships are $300. Examples of organizations include collegiate/scholastic state press groups, media associations whose members are journalists and college journalism/mass comm departments or schools.
Individuals can support SPLC here.

Members will receive the latest SPLC news and resources.

A 501 c-3 nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, the Student Press Law Center’s tax ID (EIN) is 52-1184647. If your school requires proof of incorporation and nonprofit status, download our 2025 W-9 form. If you need an invoice, please contact Alexis Mason at giving@splc.org. If not paying by credit card, checks may be mailed to the address at the bottom of this page.
