Student Press Freedom Laws

New Voices is a student-powered bipartisan movement to restore and protect the freedom of the student press. New Voices laws prohibit student media censorship and protect advisers and other school employees from retaliation for refusing to illegally censor student journalists. Sixteen states have passed New Voices legislation as of 2022.
