ARLINGTON, VA —
The Newseum, the interactive museum of news in Arlington, Va., is sponsoringits second annual Courage in Student Journalism Awards. These awards are presented to a deserving secondary school student journalist and a school administrator who have stood in support of the First Amendment.
A $5,000 award will be presented to a student journalist who has shown determination, despite difficulty and resistance, in lawfully exercising his or her First Amendment press rights.
A $5,000 award will be presented to a school administrator who has demonstrated support, under difficult circumstances, for the First Amendment press rights of their schools
