ILLINOIS— Oral arguments in the widely anticipated college free-press case,Hosty v. Carter, have been postponed to a date yet to be determined. Thearguments were originally scheduled for Dec. 10, 2002, before the U.S. SeventhCircuit Court of Appeals in Chicago. Attorney Richard Goehler, of theCincinnati law firm, Frost, Brown, Todd, will be arguing the case on behalf ofthe 25 state and national media organizations, university journalism schools andcivil liberties groups, who are in support of maintaining press rights atGovernors State University and at all public colleges and universities inIllinois, Wisconsin and Indiana.
