New Online Discussion Forum for Student Journalists

Student journalists have a new place to go for advice and help. Or simply to vent.

The Student Press Exchange, a free on-line discussion forum for student journalists and editors, was first conceived by a group of editors who attended an editor’s roundtable meeting at the Associated Collegiate Press conference in Atlanta in October 1999. The site was officially opened on February 1.

The online discussion welcomes questions from student journalists on all student media-related topics. Recent discussions have included internship experiences, April Fools issues, campus crime coverage, smoking and drinking in the newsroom and suggestions for increasing high school newspaper readership.
