Hearing date set in Kentucky State Univ. censorship case

We have been notified by the Clerk’s Office for the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals that oral arguments in Kincaid v. Gibson, No. 98-5385, the student media censorship case out of Kentucky State University, have been scheduled for Thursday, March 18, 1999, in the Potter Stewart United States Courtroom in Cincinnati, Ohio. Arguments are scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. Each side will have at least 15 minutes to present their case. The names of the three judges who will sit on the appellate panel will not be available until March 4.

We have been told that once oral arguments are heard it usually takes about six months for the court to issue an opinion.
