TEXAS — A former Bullard school superintendent pled no contest in August to criminal charges that he violated the Texas Open Records Act.
Frank Cook was charged in 1995 with violating the act because he failed to provide Tyler Morning Telegraph employees access to public records in 1995.
Violating the Texas Open Records Act is a misdemeanor with a possible fine up to $1,000 and a jail term not to exceed six months.
Cooks was fined $100 and given 180 days probation. If he successfully completes his probation, his record will be cleared of the charges.
