Frank LoMonte, Executive Director, is an experienced commercial litigation attorney who joined SPLC after practicing with the Atlanta-based law firm of Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP and clerking for federal judges on the Northern District of Georgia and the Eleventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. Before law school, LoMonte was an award-winning investigative journalist and political columnist in state Capitol bureaus in Florida and Georgia and in Washington, D.C., with the Morris newspaper chain. LoMonte graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was a senior editor of the Georgia Law Review. E-Mail

Adam Goldstein, Attorney Advocate, graduated from Fordham University School of Law in May 2002. He received his undergraduate degree in Internet journalism from Fordham College at Lincoln Center, where he was editor-in-chief of the FCLC Observer. For three years, Goldstein worked as a freelance producer and editor for FoxNews.com.

Mike Hiestand, Legal Consultant, Zenger Consulting, grew up in Alaska and is a graduate of Bartlett High School in Anchorage,
Marquette University's College of Journalism and Cornell Law School. Mr. Hiestand was the Student Press Law Center's staff attorney from 1991-2003. Over the years, he has assisted more than 14,000 student journalists and advisers. He now works from the West Coast as an independent legal consultant to the SPLC. E-Mail |

Beverly Keneagy, Development and Communications Consultant, has more than 20 years experience in development, communications, marketing and public relations. She began her career as a news reporter and has worked as the communications director for several state agencies. She most recently worked for a Florida non-profit, where she was a senior manager overseeing communications and development, securing nearly $5 million annually in funding. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of Florida and is a former SPLC intern. E-Mail |

Julia Chapman, McCormick Foundation Publications Fellow, graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in May 2009 with degrees in political science and media studies. She worked at Penn State's independent student newspaper, The Daily Collegian, in various roles including page designer, copy editor and opinions editor. Julia also interned for Pennsylvania's Office of Attorney General's Bureau of Consumer Protection, and was a founding member of Penn State's chapter of Society for News Design.

Wayne Pollock, 2009-2010 Legal Fellow, graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in May 2009 where he was senior special projects editor of The Georgetown Law Journal. While at Georgetown Law, he interned at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office. Before law school, Wayne practiced public relations at a top Philadelphia advertising and public relations firm where he advocated and publicized clients' interests. Stefanie Dazio, Spring 2010 part-time journalism intern, is a freshman studying print journalism at American University in Washington, D.C. She is currently a contributing writer for the student newspaper, The Eagle, and has interned at a New Jersey weekly paper, The Coast Star.
