The Student Press Law Center is an advocate for student voices and a defender of the free press rights of student journalists. The Student Press Law Center Web site (www.splc.org) collects information from users in order to respond to their questions and better meet their needs. The SPLC does not disclose to third parties personally identifiable information that a Web site user provides unless that user specifically authorizes us to do so or when such disclosure is required by law or when it is otherwise necessary to protect our Web site or the safety of its users.
Orders from the SPLC Store
In order to process orders made via our Web site, the SPLC requests information from users on the order form in the SPLC Store. A user must provide contact information (such as name, email, and shipping address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer's orders. If we have trouble processing an order, the information is used to contact the user.
